Why are SiteLite Mag Laser Boresighters Superior to ALL other Boresighters?

Rich Langner, President and CEO of Concept Development Corporation invented the first Laser Boresighter that was commercially available. Since then, a lot of new comers entered the market. Most were inexpensive copy cats or gimmicks...like the cartridge type lasers. Cartridge type lasers are very popular...with first time buyers. It seems to make a lot of sense to use something that looks like a bullet but read on...

SiteLite Vs. Cartridge Types:

ACCURACY: If you know anything about reloading you know that chamber tolerances, of the same caliber, vary widely between rifles. That's why factory ammo is made to the low side of the SAAMI Tolerance so it will fit all chambers made for a particular caliber. When you neck size a reload, chances are it won't fit in another gun because of the tolerance. Therefore, cartridge type boresighters MUST be made undersize to fit all chambers. This loose fit causes the laser to be off center in most cases. It's easy to see for yourself. Here's a simple test...place the cartridge in the chamber and turn on the laser. Next, place a piece of clear plastic wrap over the muzzle and see where the laser spot projects on the plastic in relation to the center of the bore. In almost every case, the spot will not be aligned with the center of the bore. Every time you remove a cartridge type laser and re-insert it, you will get a different reading!

Factory ammo is made small enough to accommodate the varying chamber tolerances

BATTERY LIFE: The batteries used in the cartridge type must be small enough to fit inside the cartridge case. Lasers require substantially more power than these tiny batteries can provide. You'll be lucky to get more than a few minutes of battery life with these units. And, those little batteries come with a big price tag...$1.99 to $2.99 each.

COST: You have to buy a different cartridge or sleeve for each caliber of the cartridge type. Depending on the brand you buy, you can spend from $250.00 to $1400.00 for only 10 calibers! SiteLite Mag Laser boresighters fit over 100 calibers from 22. to .50 plus 12 and 20 Ga. shotguns without having to buy anything optional... starting at only $99.95. Plus we include our Scope Reticle Leveler kit and Ballistic Targeting System Software at no charge!
